Donny Osmond Picks Rob Kardashian to Win 'Dancing With The Stars'
TV Examiner
November 15, 2011

Donny Osmond, the season nine champion of Dancing with the Stars, appeared on Good Morning America today and predicted that Rob Kardashian would win this season and take home the coveted mirror ball trophy. Osmond, who reports regularly on DWTS for GMA, told viewers several weeks ago to keep an eye on Kardashian because this season’s dark horse “will surprise everyone.” Donny is standing by his earlier statement and predicting that Rob Kardashian will go all the way next week. Here’s what he said this morning on GMA…

I think this could be a finish that no one expects. Rob Kardashian could take home that mirror ball trophy next week.

When rating last night’s performances, Donny Osmond said that J.R. Martinez’s ankle injury definitely affected his performances, but “Ricki Lake is clearly the better dancer." The past DWTS champion added that Lake and Martinez could follow the fate of Kristin Cavallari, who was shockingly voted off despite high scores. Osmond added…

I honestly believe Rob is going to be the one.

Donny Osmond was paired with professional dance partner Kym Johnson in the ninth season of Dancing with the Stars. After ten weeks of competition, he landed in the finals with Kelly Osbourne and Mya.

Although his scores tied those of Mya, Donny Osmond was crowned the winner. Interestingly enough, Donny’s sister, Marie Osmond also competed on Dancing with the Stars. She came in third place after Mel B and Helio Castroneves. Her famous “fainting moment” was awarded the Dancing with the Stars' “Most Dramatic Moment” of 200 episodes.

So, do you agree with Donny Osmond’s pick? Who is the next to go on Dancing with the Stars? Be sure to tune in tonight at 9/8c on ABC. Cobra Starship featuring Sabi will perform and the Muppets will make a special appearance in the ballroom. Plus, the winners of Macy’s Design-a-Dance will perform a Paso Doble to “Bad Romance.”
